Being a Tom Hanks movie, I really don�t mind giving the movie a shot and I must say it wasn't all that bad. Sam Baldwin, (Hanks) is a single man whose wife passed away more than a year ago and neither he nor his son, Jonah (Malinger) have gotten over it. Finally Jonah decides to act by broadcasting his dad�s singleton on a radio station and inviting women from all over America to be his new mom. Sam is initially against it but later starts dating someone whom Jonah doesn't like. Instead he wants his dad to marry Annie (Ryan) who heard Jonah's telecast and is touched by the message and starts writing to him.Well then the rest of the story is quite predictable. The movie somehow fails to keep you glued to your seat and i kept glancing and the time bar to see how much more is remaining. Romance fans would might just find this movie �cute� but unlike your other romance movies which one can watch over and over again, this one�s hard to pass on the first go itself.
